Jimmy was more than an older brother. He was a best friend. Even though he was 17 years older than me, we got along extremely well. We took many trips together, Washington D.C. to visit the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, Yellowstone Park and the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center at Huntsville Alabama to see the Space and Rocket Center. We even watched astronauts in training for the Space Shuttle. Since we were both in U.S. Air Force we liked going to air shows. My brother was stationed at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio (1951-1954) so we went there many times to the Air Force Museum. Jimmy was an air craft engine mechanic and flight crew member. He flew many times around the U.S. and Canada. We also went to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, ten years in a row to attend the EAA Fly in. Jimmy will be greatly missed by me.

Jimmy was much older than his brother Mike and I, so growing up in Michigan, I didn't know him well. However Mike and I enjoyed sneeking into his room and reading his Playboy and Mad magazines. Especially Playboy! It wasnt till I had lived in California for many years that I got reacquainted with Jimmy on a trip to Michigan in 1990. I found him to be a very nice and caring guy, much different than I remembered from my youth. In recent years I always looked forward to his very long Xmas Emails and all those wacky Ecards. I will miss my cousin Jimmy!

Jimmy was an awesome man. I enjoyed spending the past two years (almost) getting to know him. He was a very smart man and often gave me helpful advice and hints that I will carry with me forever. He will be greatly missed by many of his friends here at Abbey Park at Mill River, but we will always remember the good times we shared with him. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of his friends and family and mostly to his brother, Michael and his wife Kim. Michael gave Jimmy the most support that I have ever seen any family member give anyone. I know Jimmy could be a stinker but him and I had many heart to heart talks and he deep down loved his brother and greatly appreciated ALL the things that he did for him. I will miss you bunches Jimmy but I know in my heart that one day I will see you up in Heaven.......With lots of love and prayers, Bobbie Leedle
