On behalf of Bob’s sons, Alex, Ian and Conor, and myself, we are so very grateful for all of the comments here and on Bob’s kudoboard. The generous donations to NCRAD and for the memorial trees will help to ensure that Bob’s legacy of giving and service will continue. I regret that I do not have addresses to send personal notes of thanks for every donation. Please know we appreciate every donation and message as well as all of the other gestures of sympathy and love that have been extended to us. With love and our deep appreciation, Anne and the boys

My heart goes out to the Nolan family and friends. I owe much of what I know in way of sales and service to Bob Nolan. He was not only my supervisor for many years, but also a mentor to me. He was always kind towards me and my son, and worked with me so many times so that I could earn a living and still be present for my boy when needed. I am forever grateful for the experiences shared with him, he instilled in me the quality of still holding onto virtue and integrity, even in business.

I was so saddened to hear of Bob's passing. A real gentleman and one of the true good guys in a glass industry that is always in need of the class and dignity that Bob lived his life by. He was a friend to customers and competitors alike. He will be missed! From the entire Wolverine Glass family we send our condolences and prayers to the Nolan family and friends.

My cousin Bobby will be greatly missed! I have fond memories of him being very curious and happy as a child, playing together at our Aunt Kit’s house. He then grew to be a great example to us all as a wonderful, giving son, brother, husband father and uncle. He was always smiling! My family will continue to pray for yours. May Bobby Rest In Peace. ❤️

Bob had all the attributes of a true friend. Intelligent but humble, with a great sense of humor. He never judged anyone, and listened well. We shared many good times and he was open to any adventure. I remember the laughter and conversations we shared over the past 30 some years. There was sorrow, but even more joy. Bob you will remain forever in my heart.

He was a shinning star in our family. He was dearly loved by his cousins Matt Jim and Eileen plus his aunt Jean. We loved it when we were able to visit and he would get out his guitar all the time saying he wasn't very good.. He adored Anne and his boys and we could have a fight over who misses him the most. We'd lose but he was dearly loved by his Texas family. Pax et bonum Bobby

Early on in the pandemic our 6 year old made his was to the Nolan porch. He drew bright side walk chalk art. About a month later, Bob made his way to my driveway to tell me the art was still on the porch. And he said, “I like it, that’s it!”, and went home. My heart smiled knowing the simple drawing brought so much joy. Sending love from your neighbor.

Just the mention of my cousin Bobby’s name brings a smile to my face. He will live on in my memory as a kind, gentle person, with a crooked smile who could tell a story! I can still see and hear him talking about his brother Tim opening the fridge and saying there is food for the rabbit, what are we going to eat. I can still see and hear him telling us about wrestling the ragged undies off his dad (too much information perhaps, but, funny and memorable). I can still see and hear him joking about balancing a piece of drywall on his head which didn’t work out so well for his foot. I still see him as a boy playing red rover into the picker hedge at our Aunt Kit and Norma’s house and exploring the basement; talking with pride and humor about Anne and his boys; relaying his belief that it had become more difficult to cross into Canada and he was fairly certain there was a red laser dot pointed at his skull as he answered the routine questions for entry into that country. He listened as well as he spoke. I have a hard time envisioning him resting in peace. I see him having way too much fun up in heaven reunited with so many other loved ones and playing some hockey. Heavens gain is our loss.
