To his family and friends, we are so sorry to hear that Steve has passed away. He was always such a kind and fun guy. He was very close to my wife Ruth's family and we always had so much fun and laughter when Steve was around us, especially playing Euchre with the Cusick gang. I am so saddened to hear that Steve is in heaven. My memory of cooking him a steak along with my brother Steve at Mom and Dad’s kitchen. The grease burned my skin and Your Steve rushes to help me. Nine years separated us in age but I remember Steve swinging by our house to see My brothers and sisters. His smile was huge. And his laugh was, like all the Pope’s, a room filler. My condolences to you Mr. Pope and family.

Steve will be sadly missed. He was a truly gentle man and valued friend. I have many wonderful memories of times we spent together in high school and more recently a few years back. Just before his death, he reached out to offer me support once again. I gladly reached back. I can scarcely believe that he is gone so quickly. I send kind and loving regards to his entire family at this time.
