Obituary of Marlene L Miller
Marlene (Feiner) Miller of Southfield, Michigan passed away on her 65th birthday at her home on June 5, 2012. She succumbed to the ravages of the diabetes she suffered with for many years.
Marlene will be greatly missed by her daughter, Joy (Steve) Ferranti of Plymouth, MI, her granddaughter Breanne Ferranti of Fenton, MI, her stepdaughter, Michele Norman of Chicago, IL, her two sisters Linda (Dennis) Somers of Larkspur, CO; Margo (Jeff) Lowe of Los Osos, CA, her long-time partner, Michael Norman of Southfield, MI and many friends and extended family. She was preceded in death by husband, Norman C. Miller; and parents Sidney and Sara (Sandy) Feiner.
Marlene retired in 2007 after serving many years a postal carrier for the United States Postal Service (USPS). Prior to working for the USPS, she worked in Loss Prevention Management for two local Michigan retailers, Dimensions LTD and Korvette.
Marlene delighted in spending her time with family, friends and her "grand" dogs; Rocket and the late Mr. Pete. Marlene was plagued by chronic pain yet she was known for her positive and uplifting spirit and loving soul.
She had specific wishes upon her passing therefore she was cremated as requested on June 7 2012. She wanted any gathering upon her passing to be one of happiness and celebration which fit so perfectly with her personality and demeanor. So please bring all your wonderful stories and memories of time spent with Marlene to be shared in her celebration. There will be an open microphone for a portion of the celebration. There is no obligation but you are encouraged to jot down your best narratives and share them.
