I don’t remember a time in my life where I didn’t know Phil and I will greatly miss him! My best memory was when he had a hospital homecoming photoshoot in 2009! But I loved seeing him on all the Siena trips and when he would visit our house. We love and miss you Phil!

So many fond memories with Phil, opening his heart and home to anyone and everyone he met. Thank you for enriching my life with your stories and wisdom. Thank you for the many gifts, especially the key to your home, which came in handy when Tom locked himself out of the house this weekend. Going to miss you Phil, continue prayers to you Tom, as you mourn and heal. luv from your sis

With passion Phil embraced and loved life. He was one of the most giving people I have ever met. He was always willing to share a hug, prayer, praise or belonging. Phil was also incredibly brave, breaking through social barriers with confidence. I am a better person for having known Phil. Most importantly to me, is how happy he made our dear friend Tom.

We have so many memories made with Phil, but what I think of first is his generous heart. Phil was always the first to welcome, to pray, to cheer and support his family and friends. He liked to do simple, thoughtful things (like always bringing grapes for my kids to snack on, or offering a prayer over our new home). And he liked to do much bigger things (like preparing a feast for 20 people on a camping trip). Phil lived and loved with so much energy and enthusiasm, he put me to shame. He was always striking up conversations with strangers and willing to try anything once (even a certain Cedar Point ride, where we could hear Phil yelling, Lord have mercy! until it mercifully ended). And his laugh, I'll never, ever forget it. Rest in Peace, Phil! Sending up prayers for Tom and all of Phil's loved ones.

Phil taught us so much about living life to its fullest, enjoying every second and being true to oneself. Our favorite brother-in-law and dance partner who may now be physically absent, but forever in our hearts. We love you Phil and Tommy! You have both set an example of true love for all to learn from. Love, Susie & Joe

Tom we are so sorry for your loss. We have you in our thoughts and prayers. We have been remembering Phil with many fun memories... His black fur coat that he was so proud of... his trip to Sherman's ice cream in South Haven where he enjoyed his spaghetti and meatball ice cream, our many camping trips and the fun stories that he shared and the way he always made sure to include everyone. His contagious smile and laughter will he missed. Hugs to you and the family!
