Obituary of Daniel E. Zimnie

I am heartbroken to say Daniel E. Zimnie lost his battle to Stomach Cancer December 10th. at St. Joe Mercy Hospital. In typical Dan style, he continued to witness to anyone he could while in the hospital. Carol made him a praise & worship playlist to help him through some difficult days. His favorite was an old hymn by Carroll Roberson, One Pair of Hands. He is now pain free & rejoicing with our Lord. On Wednesday Dan had a good day, talked with friends & family and started making preparations to come home. He did go home Thursday morning to be with his Heavenly Father. Because of COVID-19 a memorial to celebrate his life will be held in early summer at the Belleville Church of God. Donations can be made in Dans name To ODM (Open Door Ministries, Connection Church Canton, Mi) where he volunteered Thursdays for the past 10 years. Dans passion was to serve others. He was most concerned about his wife Carol as they did so much together. They were married July 2, 1988, enjoyed family, friends, travel; including mission trips to Guatemala & the Dominican Republic. Please keep Carol & their families in your prayers as they transition to a life without Dan.
