Obituary of Yvonne Ekpenyong

Yvonne (Watson) Ekpenyong Born 4-7-1948 Transitioned 12-13-2020 Yvonne went home to be with the Lord on December 13, 2020. Yvonne was born April 7, 1948 in Peoria, Illinois to Chester A. Watson and Pearlie Benton. Yvonne was raised in Flint, Michigan and graduated from Flint Central Class of 1966, afterwards studying at Mott Community College. October 8, 1973 Yvonne Watson and Richard Bankhead gave birth to Shareta Marnyce Watson in Detroit Michigan. Yvonne worked at MBT/Ameritech/AT&T retiring in 1995, also working as an Home Health Aide for Precise Health until her illness. Yvonne was a devoted Christian as a member of Mt Hebron Missionary Baptist Church in Detroit Michigan. Yvonne loved spending time with family and friends, going to the casino, shopping, living life to the fullest and such a stylish dresser. Yvonne leaves to cherish her precious memories 2 sister: Ms Sharon Blanks and Ms Elaine Towner both of Detroit, Michigan. 2 Aunts: Minnie Winfrey (Moorhead, MS) and Annie Holland (Mt Morris, MI). Daughters of love Patricia McLemore (Madison Heights, MI) and Hazera Ullah (Redford, MI). Very dear longtime friends: Ms. Carmen Reid (Detroit, MI), Mrs. Diane Spiller (Detroit, MI) and Ms Dutchess Legraham (Las Vegas, NV) along with a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces/nephews, other close cousins, family members and friends. Yvonne was proceeded in death by her loving daughter Ms Shareta Marnyce Watson, precious granddaughter Chavonn Amani Watson. Parents Chester A. Watson and Pearlie (Watson) Owens. Grandparents Robert and Aquillar Benton. Brother Lee H. Watson, and sister Patricia Diane Harrison.
