I was just informed of Dr. Fishers passing She diagnosed me with AIDS in August 1984. 37 years ago! She told me I would be lucky to see age 25 or 26 but always provided the most sincere compassionate care as we navigated this new path together. Her smile, her giggle and red lipstick at the time are etched in my heart. I always have wanted to let her know what an impact she made on my life and that I’m still here at 61 years of age! Well she knows now. She’s flying with the angels and I’m sure watching over all. Peace love and blessings to all those who are grieving her loss. Namaste

Evelyn was a wonderful person. A great aunt. A loving sister to my mother-in-law. When Audrey was dying, Evelyn came and made sure the Hospice House did all to keep Audrey comfortable. When Audrey was nearing death, Evelyn provided comfort, patting her hand and telling Audrey, Audrey, you are going home to be with the Lord . Those final comforting words bring comfort to us now, as we apply them to Evelyn, that she, too, has chosen to go home to be with the Lord. Thank you to those who provided this tribute to Evelyn Fisher, my husband's aunt. I am so thankful for the week we had to spend with her at her Canada cabin. God is good.

Lori and I met Evelyn by way of the Detroit Audubon Society. She was a great birder, ready to help any one identify the many species found in and around Point Pelee Park. We always looked forward to visiting her at her home on Lake Erie. We were fortunate to have her as a friend.
