Obituary of Robert Gerard Hill IV
Robert Gerard Hill IV July 13, 1957 - January 8, 2021
Born in Paintsville, Kentucky, he grew up and lived in Chicago, Illinois and most recently in Monroe, Michigan
At the young age of 63, "Bob" passed away suddenly and will be missed terribly by his three daughters Karyn Michelle (John) Kain, Katherine Nicole (Bart) Sieka and Kirstin Ellen (John) Kempa and his son Robert Gerard Hill V. Also left behind are his adorable grandchildren, that he loved so much, Jack and Henry Kain and Logan and Penny Sieka, his nephew Greg Hice, his sister Victoria Lynn (Lynn) Hice and his little brother Joseph Micheal Ramey. His family in Harrison, Ohio will miss him too… his Aunt Blanche, his cousins Rick (Patty), Rudy (Debbie), Andy (Stephanie) and Ricki (Joel) Ramey, last but not least his best friend and partner in crime, Buddy Phillips (Nancee). He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his parents Robert Gerard Hill III and Phyllis Corene Ramey and his granddaughter Margaret Faye Kempa as well as his Uncle Charles, Uncle Jim, Uncle Napier and Uncle Chris and his cousin Angela. Other relatives, however far away and out of touch were loved by Bob and they would miss him as well.
In life, Bob was mostly a sales professional who, smelling of Brut and with perfectly combed hair, loved a good meal and a glass of wine or maybe a Miller Lite (on ice!) and he was an avid movie-goer, TV watcher and critic. He was an excellent baseball player as a young man, a good golfer, a pretty decent pool player and for a time, a semi- professional dart player, winning quite a few trophies including the title of Windy City Champion. He could argue like no other… it was his specialty. He mightve gotten into a skirmish or ten and sometimes he picked on his sister, though he would never admit it, he was mostly having a good time.
Far from the typical family man, much in the style of his father, he spent a lot of time alone pursuing his own interests, but truly cherished phone conversations and visits with his children and grandchildren! He would have loved to see them all grow up and grow older. Though the thought of growing old himself was not his favorite… he was prone to lie about his age. Following cremation, services will be held in private.
