“Mom” always lit up a room whenever she walked in. I love how she claimed me as a “daughter,” and had a gift for making everyone feel as if they were the most important person on Earth. People mattered to her. Regardless of whatever she had going on in her own life, she would readily be available to help someone in need. My fondest memories include talking with her about her ministry, spending time with her at Katie’s wedding weekend, being encouraged by her after my husband, Phillip, died, and laughing endlessly with her on her visits to Tennessee. Without doubt, she has heard, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”
