Not even enough time for me to come close to sharing all the funny memories Kurt and I have shared. The many times he made me laugh and a couple times he made me mad; we were still friends. The food, the beer the good times... The last time Kurt and I went to dinner at Maxfields in Edmore for the sea food buffet. It was only three of four years ago. Lol Anyway. We had a great time. We laughed because I ordered a pint glass of beer. Our waiter was just out of high school if that. He says “ would like regular one or large size? Kurt and I looked at each other and he said it again; do you want a regular or large size? I said a pint that’s probably the regular size... Kurt almost sprayed his beer on the table... Kid comes back with my beer and says we have a glass bigger than this if you like. It was a pint glass of beer... lol We had a good time and ate our share of crab and just about everything else too... I was driving home and Kurt had dozed off. I remember thinking how peaceful he looked sleeping; like he didn’t have a care in the world. And then of course I thought about laying on the horn and tapping the brakes to wake him up like he had done to me in the past; when he was driving and I feel asleep. The trip we took to Louisiana to help Jan (i think it was) move back to Michigan. Her husband and I drove the uhaul truck back from there; non stop. All the Christmas party’s on Sharon street with the family. The time mr Baltusis, my Dad and Jack were playing pool in the basement with Kurt and I (I think Burt was there too) Like I said so many memories. Until we meet again my friend. May the good Lord bless you and keep you and your family close to Him now and forever. May the love and comfort of the Holy spirt be upon you and your family until we meet again. Goodbye my friend. Peace be with you. Big Art

Kurt was a childhood friend through Plymouth Park Summer Camp and a classmate at Midland High. I have memories of his always-smiling, sometimes mischievous eyes. He was a fun-loving, caring guy and our Class is mourning his loss. My sincere condolences to his wife Vicki, and to the rest of the family. Barb (Parker) Lee, MHS Class of 76

I grew up next door to the Harnicks. I remember hanging out with Theresa, Mary Kay and Kurt. He always tagged along with us girls and shared in our adventures. He was with us when Mary Kay at 3 yrs old, drove through the carport in the family station wagon. I remember he was always smiling, laughing and happy. Kurt, you were like a little brother to me. Love you! ❤️

Fishing with Kurt before the tridge was built ...one time was an event that would be something that started out by using Jack’s rod without asking into a lost piece of equipment as very large carp dragged that rod downstream and out of sight. This is just one of many adventures that we shared as long time and long ago neighborhood friends and buddies. Kurt was always so generous.
