How do you describe someone who made a huge impact on your life? Someone who was always there to support you and encouraged you to go on when things were tough? Scott was this person in my life for the last 20+ years. I am deeply saddened by his death and my heart goes out completely to his family and other friends whom I know he loved. Scott was a rock in my life and at times I was his rock. We exchanged random pictures via text just to make the other smile. I still find myself picking up my phone today with that intention, and a smile still spreads across my face at the memories we shared. To an eternity and beyond my friend.

Scott will always be remembered as the nicest guy ever! Tom and I knew Scott at Lahser High School, as well as MSU. Tom played IM Basketball on Scott’s team, GO DOGS!, at Lahser. I would see Scott at Cobo, when I was working at a Fur Sale that was in conjunction with the Auto Show through the years. It was great to reconnect with Scott thru FB the last couple of years. He left quite a few of us some Prime Memories! RIP Scott! Gail and Tom Storer

I knew Scott thru a mutual friend. He and I bonded over history, sports AND most importantly the unbreakable bond we have with the City of Detroit. Due to the pandemic I have not seen him in over a year...but I miss him already; but I have to believe he is continuing to 'trudge the road of happy destiny". Peace my friend Ernie L

Scott and I met when I began working for him at McNabb in 1995. He quickly became my mentor, guiding me through the labyrinth of the auto show/tradeshow/special event industry. I had the privilege of working with him daily, listening to all of his MSU tales, his golfing adventures and stories about his children as they grew. He and I shared a very similar taste in music, including Steely Dan. He'd crank his stereo for me to hear the music, annoying everyone else in the office.. he was the best. I was fortunate to have spoken to him in September, giving me the opportunity to thank him for everything he'd ever done for me over the years. I'll miss running into him on the show floor, having lunch once every blue moon but most of all, his energy and spirit. Thank you for everything sir, may you rest in peace.

My heart goes out to Scott's family. They have lost a wonderful Father, Grandfather, and Brother. I have known Scott since High School. He was/is a great friend to my older sister. She is heartbroken. We have consoled each other over this loss. Our fathers work together at the same company for many years. I remember showing Scott some 8x10 pictures I found in my Dad's basement of our two fathers at a sales meeting in the 60's. It was like they were right off the set of the TV show Mad Men. We loved seeing these two guys together in their three piece suites, smoking cigarettes. I picked Scott to be my Big Brother when I joined Delta Chi at MSU. In fact he was the main reason I decided to join the Fraternity. Not only did he become my mentor, he became a great friend. Over the years we shared many great times golfing, laughing, and sharing stories around the camp fire. We shared a love of music and comedic movies. He would quote a line from a movie and we had to guess the movie. Boy did he love his sports and the stats. I am a better person because of Scott. I will miss him dearly. God rest his soul.

When I first met Scott, we were both radio guys at Michigan State. We knew instantly that he was going to be a star. He had the charisma of a sales superstar and an encyclopedic knowledge of music and sports that we regularly tapped when we needed that trivia answer or were debating a Jeopardy question. What set Scott apart was the positive attitude he brought to every adventure and the unfailing kindness he displayed to everyone who crossed his path. Scott lived the maxim that, "strangers are simply friends we haven't met yet." You could go years without seeing him and pick up right where you left off. It is said that we have many acquaintances during our journey, but few true friends. Scott was one of those rare people that many of us included in that special inner circle. We celebrate his freedom from a body that could no longer contain his spirit and take comfort in knowing that the many lives who are better for having known him earned Scott a slice of immortality that will ripple across the generations. Godspeed, old buddy. Thanks for the memories.

What a beautiful tribute! Anyone who knew Scott Clemons would echo your thoughtful comments 100%. My life was certainly made far better for having crossed his path about 12 years ago. I felt as if I had known Scott my whole life. ❤️

Scott was a great guy! About 7 years ago he called me to bail him out of a job that someone didn’t show up ! I remember it like it was yesterday. My son and I were putting my ceramic tile in my bathroom.. I got the call from Scott. He asked me if I would please come and bail him out . They were shooting a commercial for GM and there was a glare on the ramp so they wanted carpet installed on it to get rid of the glare . It was 1:30 on a Saturday.. so my son and I cleaned up our tools and went to Detroit the bail him out ( he sounded desperate) got there meet him for the first time. A true gentleman and very friendly. I’m so glad I did that for him . He got me into traveling the country after that doing international car shows and events around the Detroit area.. sense then we became close. He took the crew and I golfing last year and had a blast. I’ve done a lot of stuff for him around here . If he called I’d always make his jobs fit in my schedule to make him happy.. even when I’m slammed in work. He’s one of those guys that was just great to be around. I lost my son that went down and help me the first time I meet him ... I hope there in heaven talking about the fun we had on the jobs .. RIP Scott truly one of a kind guy.. much loved by by many people.. the best in the business. He could make things happen that no one else could...

Scott was a cool dude in high school. He was the PA announcer at our football games. He already had developed quite a bit of media savviness. I considered being a disc jockey in part based upon his media success. We lost touch after MSU for a long time, but reconnected during the last couple of years on FB. Even talked about meeting up sometime to catch up, but then the pandemic intervened. He was such a great guy. Friendly, social and a wonder family man. He will be greatly missed. R.I.P. buddy.

As we were long time friends, I always visualize Scott as upbeat, happy and a smile on his face. Karen and Scott were very supportive of me when Jeff passed away by including me to dinners, parties, etc. I will forever be grateful for them extending themselves to me. My condolences to Karen, Kathryn, Laura, Steven, their spouses, grandchildren and all his family.

Scott was a great friend who will be missed by all who had the privilege to know him. We have so many fond memories of time spent with Scott, from coaching baseball together, to camping trips with our kids, to our get togethers for dinner and game nights. Those were happy times I will always remember. Our hearts go out to Karen, Kathryn, Jon, Laura, Dre, Steven, Ali and of course to Caroline, Jake and Ada. Scott was a special person and we are so glad he was a part of our lives.
