Jim and I attended WSU and trained at Sinai Hospital together. Definitely the most outstanding attributes were reflected at today's memorial 1) his undying enthusiasm to help others, 2) his maturity and wisdom, 3) his strong opinion contra to your own, 4) and last, but not least, his quick-witted quips and jokes. I do remember about 30 years ago running into Jim and Dianne in line at the movies. We were in a long line to get tickets for a popular, new release. Jim had a big shopping bag with him, so I asked if he brought popcorn, like Paul Newman. His reply was Of course not, silly; we brought all of our props for The Rocky Horror Picture Show! He then proceeded to open the bag and hauled out his toast, squirtgun, and all of the other paraphernalia that people brought to see the film. Jim was an unique individual, who, unlike most of us, could have quit his day job for a nighttime one in the comedy circuit.

Dear Dianne, I have had the privilege of meeting you briefly in Port Huron and am deeply saddened for our loss. The last time I saw Jim was when he and Lauren had come to my daughter's FIRST robotics competition to cheer for a team that he didn't know and at a competition that he knew nothing about, because he believed it helped the kids be all that they could be and much more. Jim has always looked out for everybody else and I will miss him dearly. I always remember him when I eat at the Wild Ginger in Seattle and let anybody who cares to listen to me know your story
