Obituary of Dorothy J. Pequinot
Dorothy Pequinot, 102, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2020, in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
She was born and raised in De Pere Wisconsin, married then moved to Detroit, Michigan,
in the 1950s before settling down in Bloomfield Hills. Loving mother of Craig Pequinot, and
William Pequinot; Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Paul Pequinot, was grandmother
to Alexander Pequinot and lovingly cared for by Elena Popova.
Dorothy was known for her pleasant demeanor and sense of humor. That lovely disposition was
matched by her kind, generous nature towards her family, friends and charitable causes. She retired
as a supervisor from the State of Michigan, Employment Security Commission after twenty-two years
of faithful service. Her pastime for over twenty years, was the challenge and camaraderie of playing
duplicate bridge…which she enjoyed into her late 90s.
Per Dorothys request there will be no funeral or memorial service.
Donations may be made to the Salvation Army, Defenders of Wildlife, or World Wildlife Fund
