I will always cherish the time I spent with Granny. I loved listening to her stories about her childhood and growing up in the south. It was impossible not to smile and laugh in her company. Granny, you will be missed by so many, but you will live on in our memories and hearts. I am so happy that you had a chance to see your Great-Grandson and enjoy his hugs and kisses. Your legacy will live on through him. It was an honor to have had you in my life.

Jerry and family, I am so sorry to hear about your moms passing. I remember her from when we were kids growing up on Edgewood. Seems like forever ago. I know you and your family will greatly miss her, but she will always be with you in your heart.

Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.... ~Author Unknown Let each of us strive to be as compassionate, selfless, giving, and moral as Grandma. If we are successful in that endeavor, I think she would know that we honor her legacy and memory. And I wouldn't be surprised if she asked God to make more stars in the sky so we always know the warmth and brillance of her love.

Jerry, Linda, and family, Fred and I had been married about 3 years when I first met Madelyn. He was in Vietnam and I was living with my parents in McCaysville. Your Grandmother Bandy, Uncle Lynn, Aunt Joan, Uncle Steve, my 1 year old son, Lynn, and I drove to Michigan for a couple of days. I remember her beautiful rose garden and her being so nice to us. When she moved to TN, we saw her more and Fred got some good food when he would stay with her. Most every day I drink my Sprite from a cup she gave me and am still reading books from her library. These are just some of the fond memories we have and I know you all have some great ones, too. We love you.

Mom, thanks for all the memories and your country wisdom. You were my other mother and loved equally. You always made me feel welcome and fed me with your great southern cooking. Memories of you and Dad over the years continue to put a grin in my heart. With much love and affection.

I am going to miss you ma. I have wonderful memories of us going on picnics & wading in a cold creek with our pant legs rolled up in Tenn. I won't have anyone to show & tell when I come home from shopping. I know you are in a much better place & with dad, now you can breath easy & no more pain. Love You Linda

Dear Jerry, Jennifer & Chris I was so very glad that I finally got to meet your mum, Jerry just before Christmas after all of these years hearing about her. I saw how hard she tried to breath and know that it is very hard for you. She is out of pain now and you will eventually be able to not miss her as much as you do now. Lots of love, Mary
