Joyce though you where my x-sister-in-law I always thought of you as still my sister-in-law. You had a tough time with everything that happened but when we got together at family events, Lori's wedding, etc. you where always talkive and fun to be with. You will be missed and it is sad that you where alone when this happened. I know you will be there with Scott, Barb, Chuck, and everyone and may God take good care of you until the rest of us join you. Rest in peace and know that you will be missed. You are finally at peace and all your troubles are over and you will have the peace that you deserve.

Dear Family of Joyce, I am a friend of Joyce's. My name is Bonnie Baldwin Schreck. I lived on Beaconsfield and went to Jackson and Southeastern with Joyce. I had lunch with her at Alban's about 2 years ago and have e-mailed her several time. I emailed her a couple of weeks ago about our 50th SE Reunion. I am so sorry to read of her death in the paper today. Any information you could share with me, I'd appreciate it. I wasn't aware she was ill. I e-mailed her several times after Scott died but haven't heard from her in a long while. Please accept my deepest sympathy on her passing. She was a dear friend for many years. Sincerely, Bonnie Baldwin Schreck

Joyce was one of the sweetest, most thoughtful people I have ever met. Even in our most spirited debates she was always gracious. She was more than a friend. She was my companion, confidant, and love. She brought light to all those around her and I miss her terribly.

I didn't know Joyce all that well, but what I did know I liked tremendously. Quiet, funny, kind, sweet...with unexpected smart alec moments (which was awesome!) I regret that I didn't get to know her better. I'm so sorry for those she left behind, I can imagine how much you are missing her.

Joyce was always so sweet to me and my family. Although I didn't get to see her often, we always had a great time when we got together - especially when we would talk during our smoke breaks. I'll miss her.

A ready smile and a kind word, even when things were not always going well in the FVC office, Joyce was always willing to assist in any way she could. Just so sorry her friends here in the Village were unable to say goodbye. You are sorely missed

I've known Joyce since 4th grade, and we remained very close friends most of our lives. At age 12, we walked up the aisle at Peace Lutheran Church and were confirmed together. I was her maid-of- honor at her wedding, and I was close by when her children were born, and I was there for her 60th birthday party. I don't remember a single time she ever showed any temper. She was always sweet and nice and tried to be a good friend. Sadly we'd lost contact just this last year. I wish we hadn't, but I am happy that she had a fairly long and wonderful life. That is something to be thankful for.

I first met Joyce when she interviewed for the open position in our office at Farmington Village. I was very impressed by Joyce at that first meeting. I believed she would be an excellent person to work with us. She was so much more than that. She shared and cared about each of the 253 members at the Village. She was warm, kind, and caring even when we were being difficult andor grumpy. She had the ability to keep us grounded in what was truly important. I was very privileged to call her my friend and I shall miss her.
