Betty was my teacher in the School of Social Work, Wayne State University during the Master's degree program, 1967-68 while I was at the League for the Handicapped. She was a wonderful mentor to me as I learned how to work with groups. I met her again when I was Director of the Michigan Parkinson Foundation, as I visited the support groups for people with Parkinson's Disease. She was a leader of the group in Grosse Pointe. A wonderful, thoughtful woman and a great teacher.
Betty was an amazing woman.She was the facilitator for our bible study classes, our Parkinsons group and Senior citizen group. Her column in the Grosse Pointe news wasvery professional. She accomplished all this even though she always was in back pain, etc.but never complained. She was a great and gentle lady. We will miss her. May God be with her.
I met Betty at the ice rink many years ago....her grandson and my son played in the same league for several years. She was one of those people that you liked the minute you mether...she was so kind and caring. She always had a smile on her face. My condolences to the Rusnack family....Julie Fayad
