Obituary of Dorothy Anne Tingley
Dorothy Anne Tingley of McCormick, SC, formerly of Clawson, Michigan, passed away on April 9, 2013. She was born on August 26, 1934 in Chillicothe, Ohio. Dorothy was the wife of Bradley Lou Tingley for 47 years. She was the daughter of William and Maude Steinbrook of Chillicothe, Ohio. Surviving are her daughter Deanna (Brian) Kendall, her son David (Sally), and her granddaughter Brianne Louise Kendall. She taught for thirty years in both Ohio and Michigan. After her retirement she volunteered many hours with Starr Commonwealth, residential school for at-risk boys in Albion, MI. After moving to McCormick, she and her husband devoted many cherished hours to the John de la Howe School. She was an avid knitter and enjoyed knitting for charity, especially baby blankets for the Linus Project. She was a member of the McCormick United Methodist Church. Her memorial service will be Friday, April 12, 2013 at the McCormick United Methodist Church, 200 Gold Street, McCormick, SC 29835 at 12:00 p.m. with visitation and celebration-of-life-meal to follow in the fellowship hall.
