Obituary of Harold Dahl

Harold “Chris” Dahl, 86, of West Bloomfield died Monday, February 12, 2007 in his home. He was born October 1, 1920 in Spruce, Michigan to Oscar and Anna Dahl.<br> Mr. Dahl retired from Detroit Partition Company in 1986. He was a member and past officer of The Norwegian Club and The Sons of Norway Lodge. He volunteered and served as a board member for the Housing for Exceptional People (HEP) organization. He proudly served his country as a decorated pilot in the Air Corp during World War II.<br> He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Hilda (Rogers) Dahl; children, Milton (Sherri), Roger (Deborah), and Martin; grandchildren, Whitney, Scott, Andrea, and Beth; great grandchild, Morgan; and his brother, Allen. He was predeceased by grandson Rickie and brother Gordon.<br> A memorial service will be held at St. Andrew Lutheran Church located at 6255 Telegraph Road in Bloomfield Hills, MI 48321 on Thursday, February 15th at 11AM. His ashes will be interred at Spruce Cemetery in Spruce, Michigan at a later date and will be followed by a memorial service at Fairview Mennonite Church in Fairview, Michigan.<br> Memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church or to the MCC (Mennonite Central Committee); PO Box 234; Akron, PA 17501.
