Obituary of Georgianna Ione Matthews

Georgianna Ione, age 77 of Novi, MI. formerly of Redford Township. Joined our LORD in Heaven and received her angel wings Sunday, Dec. 3rd, 2006. She was preceded in death by husband Hughes Sr., parents George C. and Edith S., Sister Edith, Brother George F., and son-in-law Andy Russell,. Surviving are her daughters Barbara (Craig) Harris, Cindy Russell, Debra (Robert) Mullen, her sons, Paul (Kathy) Matthews and Hughes Matthews Jr. “Tim”, sister Mary and brother Steven. Proud Granny Annie to Jason (Lara), Brandon (Erin), Christopher (Angela), Angela (Keith), Becky, Robby, Jennifer, Ian, Kyle, Emily, Matt, Meghan and Brittany. Proud Great Granny Annie to Jonothon, Nicholas, Emily, Cameron, Gavin, Peyton, Kate and Abby. She loved to travel and see the world as she did with her son Tim in the Navy. Another joy was her flower garden. Cremation has taken place; there will be a “Celebration of Life” mass at St. James Catholic Church, 46325 10 mile Road, Novi, MI. 48374 on Saturday, Dec. 9th 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Lung Association of MI.
