We are so glad we had the time last summer to come back to Michigan and visit with Don and Marge. Living here in Iowa with our cousins and family in Michigan makes it a little hard to get back for visits very often. My Grandchildren still talk about our visit with Don and Marge and keep asking can we go to their house tomorrow I am sorry I have to say no we can't because it will take us 18-20 hours to get there. I only wish we could have. Don was always a good friend to me and I was always glad to call him my cousin. He married Marge how was is my cousin by birth, but that still make Don my cousin by marriage. I will always love and respect Don for the kind of man and the influence he had on me personally every time we met and talked. I feel I came away a better person because of that. Marge, Deborah, Donald, Kenneth and Phillip and the rest of the family please know my family and our prayers are with you and we will all be together with Don one day in the future.Love from my family to you all.Jim Hendrian

My grandpa was one of the greatest men that I ever knew! He was always there cheering me and my sisters on at softball, basketball, and volleyball games. He was always so proud of us. I am so lucky to have had such a great relationship with my grandpa and i will miss him dearly every day. His personality always lit up a room. Not to mention he was sarcastic and funny and could always make you smile. One of the things that made him the most proud was being a great-grandpa to my daughter Mackenzie and then again to my cousin's daughter Hailey. Then in December we found out that I was pregnant with a boy and he was just so excited about that it was a boy this time. My heart breaks knowing that he won't be here to meet him. I know that he will be watching down on us from now on and that I will always have a Guardian Angel. Love you and miss you Grandpa!!! Until we meet again!!

We will miss you Uncle Donald. We always enjoyed our time together with Uncle Donald and Aunt Marjorie. He was so proud of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was always happy and enjoyed the beautiful things in life. His kindness and generosity will always be with us in our hearts. He taught us how to enjoy family, life and nature. The world has lost a beautiful and kind man. We are proud to have known him. Love Cathy and Howard Sharpe

My brother-in-law Donald was a great family man and a Mr. fix-it. James and I always enjoyed the family gatherings at our house, at his house and at Mom and Dad's house. He was like my own brother. Marjorie is the sister that I never had. We grew up together and out kids were very close until we moved to Iowa. Will miss him so much. He and Chris were always picking at each other. His Iowa family loved him and will miss him.
