Our deepest condolences to Ruth and the family. We knew Don through the Paint Creek Folklore Society and Silver Strings Dulcimer Society. He was an original member of our band, Joyous Noise, created from the PCFS as a public service performing group. He played hammered dulcimer as part of JN at nursing homes, heritage festivals and other venues for a number of years. When he was learning to play hammered dulcimer, he approached it with dedication and thoroughness. Don appreciated history and was a talented craftsman with wood, clocks, instruments. He and Ruth raised a good family, enjoyed camping. He will be missed.
