Aunt Grace (Kathy) gave me my first beer when I was 8 or 9 years old. My mom (Carol) and I were visiting and she asked if I wanted something to drink and then gave me a list that included water, milk, pop, etc. and when she mentioned a beer, I said okay. And that was what she gave me. I remember sleeping the rest of the afternoon...

Grace aka Kathy---Her smile will be missed, but her smile will live on within her children and grandchildren. I envisioned the day she went home, that her Dad came for her and took her hand and walked with her hand and hand along the golden path towards home.

Dear Amy and Roy Jr., I remember the day your Mom asked me to stand up in her wedding to your Dad. I was thrilled. I remember taking care of you both one summer, while your parents worked,in the house behind Aunt Grace's old house on Mason. I remember your Mom's hugs as my sister Mary was dying and how she always made me feel better talking to her in the hospital. The last time I saw her was at my niece's wedding and she met my husband to be and sat with us during the service. Grace's kind and loving ways welcomed Bill into the family. We laughed as we talked about the past and Uncle Al and how we both missed him terribly. But now I know they are together and sharing many memories together. I love Grace and will pray for you that you will find peace within yourselves to help you heal. Love, Julieann

I am an old friend of Kathy's that I met through work. She was a wonderful woman who was filled with great determination. I could always count on her for a smile. She was a ray of sunshine in my life. It saddens me to hear of her passing but the pain and suffering are no longer there. May the family all find comfort and peace within in the days ahead. My thoughts and prayers are with you all .....

Grace (Kathy) you will be missed. When I had the opportunity to see Grace on a few family occasions while we were up in Michigan I could always count on her sparkling personality & her beautiful smile. This is a poem I think of when something happy or sad happens in our family Our Family is a circle of strength and love. With each birth and every union the circle grows. Every joy shared adds more love; every crisis faced together makes the circle stronger. Our family will keep her alive in family memories and in our hearts. May His peace surround & comfort her family. With Love her cousins in Texas- John, Denise (Benyo), Dominic & Gina Visingardi

Amy and Roy Jr., Your Mother was such a beautiful person in side and out. I met her through some friends in 1994 and we immediately became friends. I met you once Amy when your Mother & Georgi came to CA with me on a business trip. You brought your son when he was a baby. I am so fortunate to have known and loved your Mother she was a wonderful friend and will be missed very much. My sincere condolences to you both and your extended families. I have attached a poem I wrote for Grace. In Loving Memory of Grace Grace didn’t have to worry about how she looked She was as pretty as a picture in a book, Bright eyes, giggles and a smile so wide When Grace was around there was no where to hide, Always full of funny things to say she made us laugh and want to play You left your footprint in my heart Now we must be apart It was time he said and you were gone and left us here to carry on We wish you were still here with us but we know you are in a better place God has called you home and now you will never be alone. We will miss you. Written With Love, Carol
