as waynes supervisor in the late 70s & early 80 he was an excellant employee. he displayed a good attitude,character and charisma, and I assumed he displayed the same as a husband and father. Not having contact with him during my retirement, I am sure he will be daerly missed by his family and friends. rush stover

To the Pierce Family You have my deepest sympathy. My Parents Earl and Modine Walker were friends of Wayne's parents. From the old Chene st. area, where Wayne was a young child growing up. We lived one block over from the Pierce's. I remember his sister used to walk me to school and watch me as a small child. I last spoke with Wayne about a year and half ago. I deeply regret the passing of your husbandfather. I have only known Wayne for the past 8 years through my employment at GM. However, more importantly than the relationship at work, was the friendship that we developed. Wayne was a part of my team in the Body Shop and we spent many a time sharing jokes, our passion for Michigan Football and more importantly than anything, our love for our families. There have been many times that Wayne shared stories of his family and his wife with me and I can sense how much he truly loved you guys. I am going to miss Wayne dearly just for his unique way of bringing his personality to the group. He was a good worker but more importantly he was a good friend. Frank and I, and our chhildren will never forget Wayne. Our children called him U.W. for Uncle Wayne. He was always very generous with Amy and Frank, and our grandchildren, Dakota and Caitlin.
