Dean and Doris, you and your family are all in my thoughts at this time. I never knew Dorian, but knowing the both of you, she was a special person. The love and care you have showed our son demonstrates a real compassion that I know Dorian shared. You remain in our prayers.

Dorian's family is in my thoughts and prayers. I was a bus driver in the 70's for WISD, and I drove Dorian to and from school. I loved her spirit and her enormous energy, she really was an angel. I am sorry for your loss. Gayann

My heart goes out to the Douthat family. I also have a special needs daughter. And of course you know how precious they are. You may wonder why dose God allow this to happen. Yet from my study of the bible God promises to fix the suffering that we face. And soon there will be no more sickness or death right here on earth. That is found at Isa. 3324. Also you will be reunited with Dorian here on a paradise earth to live forever and never to be sick again. For more information please go to our website at JW.org. Under bible teachings. My thoughts and prayers go out to you at this most difficult time.

I had the pleasure of taking care of Dorian for many of the 25 years she lived at Judd. I will never forget her sweet smiles and saying her prayers at bedtime. Dorian's love of pizza, fresh peas and snickers candy bars. Dorian enjoyed our vacations to Disney World, The mountains of Tennessee and Dollyworld, and a couple of trips to Branson Missouri. Out of all these travels my favorite trip was our trip up to northern Michigan to my family home. She loved sitting in the swing on the front porch. Although I have not seen Dorian in several years my heart breaks to hear this news of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the Douthats and my memories of Dorian and our times together will always be in my heart.

I worked at JUC for five years and in that time developed a friendship with Dorian; our friends at Just Us Club become family to us. We love them and gain wonderful relationships with them, parents, caregivers, even the bus drivers.Dorian sometimes liked to sit quietly(Dorian quiet Well sometimes. )smile) She loved being read to, Green Eggs and Ham was an all time fave. If you worked a puzzle with her, sometimes she would let you know what sounds the animals make. She liked to give low fives and an occasional swat to the unsuspecting. hahaha...she will be missed but will hold a special place in my heart. She flies high with all of our lost JUC friends.

My sister, Dorian, was such a unique individual. In the course of her life, she touched many many people. She had strong likes, such as Snickers Bars, pizza, and Sprite. Also music, she loved music including John Denver, Neil Diamond, The Beatles, and Christmas Carols--especially the Little Drummer Boy. She loved Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and all of the Peanuts shows on TV. When she was a kid, it was the TV show Lost in Space, particularly The Robot. When Dorian didn't like something, she made her opinion abundantly clear. -)The memories of her strong and special personality will live on among those who interacted with her over the years. We will all miss her.
