I was fortunate to have worked with Dr. Crawley, we shared many a lunch together always with interesting but yet down to earth conversations. It has been a while since I last talked with him, but I will always remember him as a warm and friendly person. It was a privilege to have known and work with him, he will be missed by many.

I worked for Dr. Crawley at Grosse Pointe Pediatrics before my retirement. He was the most gentle and kind doctor one could know. My family enjoyed his visits to our house for dinner when he would show us different precious gems, describing each one and where and how they were made. He was always down to earth in the way he lived and treated others.

When I had my first child 17 years ago, Dr. Crawley visited us in the hospital. He was the most gracious and gentle man and he put us at ease with the task of being parents. He was my children's pediatrician at Grosse Pointe Pediatrics until his retirement and he made even the most fussy visits more bearable with his quiet good humor and easy-going manner. He was an excellent physician and a wonderful man.

Dr. Crawley was one of the first local pediatricians I met when I began working at St. John Hospital. His reputation was outstanding; both among other pediatricians and among his patients and their families. I still hear people in the community praise his skills in taking care of their children and grandchildren over the years.

Dr. Crawley was my children's pediatrician and was a wonderful doctor. My children loved him. He also was in a bible study group where I got to know him on a different level.

Family of Dr. Crawley, I was fortunate to work with Gene at the G.P. Pediatrics for several years. He was very articulate, knowledgeable and he had agreat sense of humor. He loved to relate anecdotes about his experiences in private practice both in Arkansas and Michigan. He worked hard and he always gave honest assessments and solutions to office and staff problems. His patients loved him dearly. Our thoughts and prayers go to his family for this great loss. We shall miss Gene very much. We are sorry to miss the memorial service on March 20. Sincerely yours, Thelma and Oscaar Tumacder

I had the pleasure of working with Gene from 1990 to his retirement. He was an excellent doctor, and a very kind man. Beyond that, he was an incredibly interesting person to spend time with. When Gene moved out to Rochester, we were able to get together with him on a few occasions. He was always full of interesting items to discuss, never dull. We will miss him dearly, pray for his family, and know he is together again with the love of his life.
