You are gone but not forgotten, dear brother. Way too soon after what you had been through, and with so much still to do. Barbara, you have done so much, I do admire your fortitude and you have our regrets, love and a standing offer of what ever we can do. As for our nieces & nephew, your father is now at rest. His battle is over. Love always .........Uncle Dick

I sure was saddend to here the news of bills passing, and my utmost best wishes to family and to those who were close to him. I had thought about him recentley and hoped I could visit him soon as I was unaware of the severity of his condition. Bill always had kind words to me and his face always lit up with a smile when he'd repeat his saying aviation forever! I hope that someone could read the poem High Flight at Bills memorial. I cant quite remember all the words now...Oh I have slipped the surly bonds of earth... It has a special place in the hearts of aviators, and as we all know bill loved airplanes and flying.Well,Aviation forever my friend.

Beloved Brother William James.....My heart holds so many precious memories. Childhood, the teen-age years and then you were a Flyboy. Next came marriage and Barbie became my sister. You both delighted the family with the births of Lesa, Dean and Noreen. Pain and anguish now gone, Dear Bill. Rest In Peace in the midst of the stars and moons that you so loved. God Bless Your Dear Soul. Thanks for all of your love, Dear Bill. Love You So Dearly, Sis Aneta

Dear Poppa, It hurts so much to lose you when you were looking forward to so many things. You tried your best to come home to us and I wish our strength could have pulled you through. Thank you for teaching me math, cheering me on in volleyball and softball, taking me fishing at 4am, and for wearing your CMU Dad shirts proudly. I miss your funny stories, your sense of humor, and your bright smile when I walk through the door. Please let me know how you are doing once you get settled with Grandma, Aunt Meta, Verlane, and your sweet little dachshunds. You will always be my Poppa and I will always be your little girl. I love you so much, Noreen

I am thankful for the time Cassie and I got to know Bill. I will remember him when assembling a canopy on a windy day, when taking time to look at the stars and planets, and when thinking about feeding my dogs whipped cream. Family seemed very important to Bill and we will all miss him. Our prayers and thoughts are with Barb and all of his family.

I FLEW A CL PLANE THE OTHER DAY AND THOUGHT OF BILL, I JUST HAD TO FIND THIS POEM. Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there, I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung My eager craft through footless halls of air. Up, up the long delirious, burning blue I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace Where never lark, or even eagle flew. And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod The high untresspassed sanctity of space, Put out my hand, and touched the face of God. - John Gillespie Magee, Jr.
