Carrie, you will be missed by so many people. I will always cherish our days at MSU, especially our daily encounters and laughs about our sadistic yet caring coach, Michael. I will also remember the days we shared at Wayne State when you were married and living in Redford. I can still remember the day you went into labor with Dillon, it seems like yesterday! I wish I had lived closer to you so that I would have more memories that include you. Life is a little sadder without you, Carrie, I love you! caroline

I am at a loss for words when trying to describe what my Aunt Cubby meant to me...All I can say is she was truely an AMAZING individual...and im not just saying that because shes my Aunt...she really was one of a kind! As sick as she had gotten she would still think nothing of herself, she was willing to listenhelpcare for anyone who needed it...thats just the kind of person my Aunt was...like I said I cant describe in words how amazing she was...but anyone whos ever known, or met her knows exactly what I am talking about... I will truely miss you Cub...I LOVE YOU and I'll see you soon ;)

Our childhood moments will be cherished (all those fabulous neighborhood plays!) as will our memories of Carrie as a wonderful, kind woman. We send our love to you, her family, and pray that your grief moves through you gently. With love, The Skindzier Family

I am truly sorry for the loss of a wonderful person, wife, greatest mother, dearest daughter, best sister and a fun loving aunt. I had to great pleasure of knowing Carrie by caring for her grandmother. She was a great inspiration to me for all the terrible things that she had to endure. She never thought of herself, she was always concerned for others, no matter how she was feeling. I know she will be watching over her family as she flies with the stars. She is free from any more hurt and will forever live in our hearts. Her free spirit lives and watches over everyone she has ever met. We are better people for having known her and she will continue to live in us. My heart goes out to her entire Saxton-Woods family for their untimely loss. I will miss her terribly as they do. She is loved and deeply missed by all. I love you, Carrie. Thank you for allowing me to know you. We will see each other again. Lots of Love, Tonya and Hillary Schocke and Domenic and Daniel Diaz.

It's been over 30 yrs. since the days we went to Civic Park School, I had thought of her often over the years. We attended each others birthday party in 2nd or 3rd.grade(both in December). I remember when Timmy was hit by the car we shared her grief at school. She was a kind, caring, sweet girl and that is how I will always remember her. My husband went to Davison High School and knew Carrie also, small world. We would like to extend our sympathy to you her family who have went through so much & our prayers are with her husband and children too.

I would like to express my sincere sympathy to the family of Carrie Saxton-Woods, her husband Michael and children. Carrie’s mom, Diane Saxton, is my cousin. I grew up in Michigan but live in Cleveland now. Although I didn’t really know Carrie because we moved away from Michigan when she was a small child, I almost feel like I know her from hearing about her battle with her illness through Diane. My thoughts were often with the family over the past few years, and especially this past year and very difficult last few months. I have to say that I admire Carrie so much for the way she fought this, never gave up, consulted experts on her own. I’m a breast cancer survivor myself, but I doubt I would have had the persistence that Carrie did, I think I would have given up a long time ago when faced with the challenges she had. She was one courageous lady and everyone should be proud of her. I know she will be terribly missed. Please know my thoughts will continue to be with the family during the months ahead. In sympathy, Mary Ann Whitley
