My mother was an extraordinary person. Her intelligence and wit and love for life were scattered on anyone who was around her -- most of all her family. She is deeply missed.
I am so blessed to have known Kit. Her love of life, her sense of humor, her strength and determination, and the priority she placed on friends and family are truly inspirational to me. My sincere sympathy to her family for their loss.
Dear Mr. Rothfuss, Jane & Susan and families It was with deep sadness we learned of Mrs. Rothfuss's passing. I will always have very fond memories of spending the night at 9089 Park Ave., the trips downtown, school days and of course, the Pat Boone Fan Club. I miss Kit so much. I'll always miss her hugs and kisses, but most of all, our girlfriend talks. For the short year that I've known Kit, I sometimes feel she left us all too soon. Her death came in the morning as a blessing for her but left me full of unspoken sadness. Now when I think of Kit, I smile, because I know her gentle happy spirit walks among us. To John, Jane and Susan, when you place mom on the alter imaginine her hugs and kisses but know you are surrounded by her love.
Dear Susan, Jane, and John (and Michael too), I wish we could be with you for Kit's memorial service. How we'd love to hear the stories and share the love! Although we weren't lucky enough to see Kit very often, when we did we were unfailingly amazed by her cheerful spirit. I have a favorite snapshot of Kit at Jennifer's baby shower Something tickled her funny bone, and she had a look of joy on her face that lit up the whole room. That look is how I'll remember her. I hope the gift of good memories will help you through your loss. Our love and condolences to all of you.
John, Jane, & Susan, I will always remember your motherwife as being very active at the church. Her home, your home was always a very warm, welcoming home. I will be thinking of you. A mother or wife become our very best friend in life that we share everything with. Don't think you are crazy when you pick up the phone to call her or turn to call out to her that your home. My mother was my best friend. She was always there when I needed a friend, a sounding board, help with a project, a recipe, a pat on the back, a shopping pal, or a chuckle. I have lost my rock, and my soul mate. I will miss her very much, but know she no longer hurts, and has left me with wonderful happy memories.
