what a wonderful tribute to one who lived life to the fullest..although i moved away from the ladies 20 years ago i have kept in relative contact and know that they all mourn her passing as i do. she was a crackerjack of a gal-full steam ahead and fearless! a wonderful example of womanhood-humanhood.. I was truly blessed to have Joyce in my life. She was a beautiful soul. Always living life to the fullest. She was an inspiration to me. I will miss standing in her yard talking about her garden our families our plans and her adventures. She was not only a wonderful employer but also my friend. I will always hold her in my heart and cherish the time I had with her. Rest in Peace dear Joyce. You will be missed. -Darlene
I have known Joyce since becoming a PYC member in the late 90s. I crewed with her for skipper Bob Shaw, and we made it to the Southern Mid-Winters a couple of times. I remember Joyce took a ride on a hang glider while we were in Miami. Joyce crewed for me on my first Lightning race that I skippered. Joyce will be missed
