I met Henry in a photo class at Washtenaw Community College in the Winter of 1999. I just wanted to send my condolences. I enjoyed having Henry in the class. He had a good soul.

Henry was my big brother. As I came along 18 months after Hank, we were and always have been very close. He was a great kid growing up. He was Hankster the Prankster always pulling stunts and tricks on myself and our other two little sisters. He enjoyed baseball...and was such a big shot on the block when he received his first pocket transistor radio!!We shared alot of heartache growing up and pulled each other through some tough times since we were children of alcoholic parents. I will miss him terribly and my heart will ache forever for him.He was not just my brother, but my protector and soul mate. Its not goodbye my Pal...just a see you later...

I guess I was about 13. Allene was my best friend; Marigale, Paula and Krissy were the irritating little sisters. And Henry was THE big brother. He had his own room. He knew every song the Beatles had recorded. And for kids like us he was the only grown up (or so we thought) male in our lives. Now I can't believe he was only 2 years older than I. And I really can't believe he is gone. After the challanges of our childhood, he really worked hard and made a life for himself. I was blown away -- when he and I reconnected a few years ago -- to discover that he not only got through undergrad, but managed to get a masters as well! And to dedicate himself to such important work stirred my heart and made me very proud to have been a part of his life. All of you are in my thoughts during these difficult times.

Henry was the first child of my big sister and I thought he was mine. He and I went everywhere when he was little. He was ringbearer at my wedding. I have been so proud of the way he pulled himself up and became such a wonderful person. Uncle John and I enjoyed a few days with Henry just weeks before he became ill. I know it was very difficult for his sisters and all of us to have him leave us so suddenly but am releived to know he is in a better place and didn't have to suffer for 3-6 months. We loved him and miss him very much.
