Obituary of Frederick Lawrence Muzzin

Frederick Lawrence Muzzin, born November 5, 1942, "Freddy", to those that know and love him. Fred passed away on October 31, 2015. Fred was the beloved brother of Jean (Muzzin) D'Alessandro, Uncle to Ann (Boilore) & Bob Farquhar, Bridget (Boilore) & Ken Vettese, Craig Boilore, and Great Uncle to Brianna Boilore. A memorial service is planned on Sunday December 6, 2015, 11:00 am at Angela Hospice, 14100 Newburgh Rd, Livonia Michigan to remember all those who have passed while in the wonderful care of the Angela staff. Fred wanted his family and friends to spread his ashes in the Ontanogan River in Upper Michigan. A day outdoors in the UP to carry out his wishes will be planned in 2016 as a tribute to Fred. Fred was an extremely talented artist, creating many memories for family, friends and others with his tile, glass, stone, cement and brick and mortar masterpieces. We will always remember him as an avid outdoorsman who loved to share stories bigger than the fish he caught. We are all blessed to have had him in our lives. Throughout his life Fred loved to help kids learn to fish, hunt, and enjoy being outdoors. He was "froggin" in his teens, loved the beagles and spaniels he hunted with over the years and always managed to bring home dinner while showing one of the family how to hunt, even if it was with a camera. Oh, and know he fished any time he had a chance. Uncle Freddy was genuine, loving, tough, strong and sensitive. He would tease and joke and had a knack that made us kids think about the right way to do things, and he was always there to help. He was a great teacher of the trades to many of us, friends and family alike. And Uncle Fred has always been like a Guardian Angel, a role we hope he can continue while in Heaven. Though Freddy will be remembered at the Angela Hospice memorial service, his nieces Annie and Bridget are dedicated to honor his memory by carrying on his tradition of getting kids involved in the outdoors. The goal is to raise as much as possible to give kids the chance to experience a quality of life that otherwise couldn't be had by them. Family members have chosen a local kid's camp that provides an opportunity for children with serious illnesses and medical conditions to go to camp and have fun. The joy of experiencing the essence of what our Uncle Fred gave us when we were kids is what we are hoping to share with them by your donations. You can donate at gofund.me/fredthetileman. Other contributions may be directed to Angela Hospice, 14100 Newburgh, Livonia MI 48154 Through being close to Fred, we all have learned by his example to help others, have fun, and love the outdoors. We hope to give others a chance to realize that a bit of serious fun can make a lasting impression. Please sign Frederick's online guestbook!
