Betty and my mother were best friends when we lived next door on Sandringham Way in Bloomfield village, MI. Jack and my dad were also close friends. Jim and I went to Camp Sancta Maria in Gaylord together, and played basketball in our driveway, one on one.Tom and my brother Tom were friends. The Hofwebers were an important part of my growing up years. For the past several years, I've been delighted to read Jack's posts, see his likes on mine, and be mentored into dignified and gracious aging from his example. Jack's death makes that of my mother and father feel more final. Thank you, Jack, for your unwavering support of me. Jim and Tom, thank you for sharing him with us, and for taking such good care of him.
