Many years ago when Richard was just a teenager, he discovered dad’s little repair shop. My dad, Ed, hired Richard to work with him. Just about every day in the summers and right after school in the spring and fall they would work together. At meal time, mother would call and Richard would often come in with daddy and join us for dinner. Over the years Richard made sure he stayed in touch with my father, and when daddy died, Richard and Diane were there for the wake and funeral. It meant a lot to us all, but especially my mother, because he was like one of our family. I will always think of Richard as the kind person he was, and that silly fun-loving boy, getting greasy with my dad out in the “work shop” all those years ago. I’m sure daddy was there to greet him, when he arrived at heaven’s gate. My prayers are with Diane and the family - May he rest in peace.
