Obituary of William Beresford
After 88 wonderful years of life, 64 years of beautiful marriage, 4 children, 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, William (Bill) Beresford left this world on February 1, 2018. His journey has ended and ours is just beginning as we try to make sense of a world without him. Please pray for his wife, Molly (nee Sylvester), children Peter (Andrea), Bonnie (Lee), Chris (Erin), Andy (Carolyn), grandchildren (Susan, Megan, Colin, Claire, Evan), great-grandchild (Carter) and surviving brother Jim (Connie).
Bill graduated from Cranbrook School and Sewanee - The University of the South, then served in the U.S. Air Force. Later, his career was highlighted by his founding of The Beresford Company, helping hundreds of companies, small and large, in identifying and badging their people and products. An avid golfer and fisherman, Bill frequented the Rockwell Springs Trout Club and supported Trout Unlimited. He was long-time usher at Christ Church Cranbrook, where a memorial service will be privately held. If you would like to celebrate Bills life, join the family on Sunday, February 11 between 5 and 7 at The Village Club, 190 East Long Lake Road, Bloomfield Hills.
The family has requested no flowers. If you would like to honor Bill, a memorial gift to your favorite charity would make him smile.
