Obituary of Harold Norvin Viers

Harold Norvin Viers, 73, of Hartland, formerly of Goodrich and Flint; passed away at Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital surrounded by his family on March 31, 2018. He was born on June 8, 1944 in Flint. The son of Harold and Geraldine (Moulton) Viers. Loving father of Harold A. (Colleen) Viers and Robyn Batterbee. Grandfather of Corey, Brandon, Kyle, and Jordan. Brother of Cheryl (Mike) Posey, Bob (Velma) Viers, and the late Dennis Viers. He worked as a truck driver for the Coca-Cola Bottling Company before retiring to his cabin on Lake George. He returned many years later to live in the Hartland area where he made many friends working at the Highland BP, hanging out at 59 West, and the Comeback Inn. He should have been the Mayor because there wasnt a place that he would go without knowing someone. It is safe to say that he was well liked and loved by everyone he came into contact with. Harold enjoyed playing Keno, hunting, fishing, having a few beers with his treasured friends, and being around his family. He loved life as he fought until the very end! Harold was preceded in death by his parents and brother Denny. Family, friends, and others whose lives Harold touched are invited to his "Celebration of Life" on April 21, 2018 at 4:00pm until 8:00pm to reminisce, grieve, and support each other. It will be at his "home away from home", 59 West, 786 W. Highland Road, Highland, Michigan, 48357. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
