To whom it may concern I knew Alice Sias many years ago when she worked for my father at his law office in Traverse City. My father was Harry Calcutt (he passed in 1996). When I was 17 (1967) I received the yearly rights to run the concession stand at the local zoo (Clinch Park). Never having had employees or knowing how to keep books, Alice became my savior. She helped me complete the social security forms, sales tax records, etc. She always had a smile on her face and a quick, unforgettable laugh. I can still visualize her sitting at the very small desk in the back of the law office. When I would unexpectedly arrive with a problem and no knowledge she always was there to make things right. I will never forget it. She showed great compassion and understanding toward a very young man. Based on my experience, I'm sure she was very good with raising her children as well. We are all blessed to have had Alice in each of our lives. Additionally, I'm sure she had many good laughs about me with the other ladies in the law office, like Donna Bomer and Dorothy Melicar, which is all good too. I know my father was very fond of her too. She was special. She was a wonderful lady and someone I sincerely appreciated in my life. I'm sorry for her passing, but want the readers to know she will be forever in my heart and mind. Harvey Calcutt
