Obituary of Sheila Killon
Sheila Killon, second eldest daughter to Multiply Davis Thaxton and Cirrelia Rucker Thaxton, was born in Montgomery, West Virginia on July 27, 1925. Her transition to Jehovahs Kingdom took place on Thursday, August 16, 2018 in Detroit, Michigan after an extended illness.
She graduated with a GED from Cass Technical Adult Center of Detroit Public Schools.
From her marriage to Garrison Ware, her only son Lloyd was born, and from her union to Pete Williams her daughters Deborah and Cirrelia were born. Her Sisters, Jean Marshall, Helena Evans, Lydia Hicks preceded her in death. She is survived by her only brother Bluford Thaxton.
She was a homemaker who occasionally performed domestic work outside the home before moving to Detroit, Michigan. She graduated from Kimbles Academy of Sewing before going on to become a Seamstress in a popular Detroit Department Store while raising her children.
After moving to Detroit she became a member of the Kingdom Hall. She dedicated her life to Jehovahs Kingdom, and was Baptized a Jehovahs Witness in 1965. She was an avid lifelong student of the Bible, and a faithful servant of Jehovah working earnestly to earn her place in his paradise. She was passionate about Jehovahs earth and living creations, Worship, and knew the Bible front to back.
Other hobbies included swimming as a young woman, and dressmaking. She enjoyed caring for plants and Flowers, admiring nature, and pursuing her studies. Her favorite song was "Life Without End-At Last!"
To her children, family, and anyone who really knew her; she was strong, steadfast, straight forward, studious, and dedicated to serving Jehovah and teaching his word.
She leaves to cherish her memory: One son, Lloyd G. Ware (Lydia) of Tenafly, NJ, two daughters Cirrelia A. Anders, Deborah Y. Williams of Detroit, MI. One Brother Bluford Thaxton (Lois) of Newport News, VA; Four Grandchildren, Danielle Y., Laurie Y., Langston L. (Danielle), Lylianne S; and Four Great Grandchildren; Caylin M., Landon J., Tristan X., and Brody M. She also leaves behind a Special Niece; Cirrelia Thaxton, and Special Nephew Leslie Marshall (Marsha),a host of nieces, Great-nieces, nephews, cousins and very dearly loved friends. Special among them; Sharay Reed, Pat Kellum, and Billie Thomas.
The Memorial Service will be held on Friday August 24, 2018 at 11:00 am at The Kingdom Hall of the Jehovahs Witness, located at 10001 Southfield Fwy. Service Drive, Detroit, Michigan, 48228. A brief repast will follow the service.
