Obituary of Franklyn Jerome Reed

Franklyn Jerome Reed, age 76, passed away January 17, 2020 at the VA Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was born February 2, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan to Betty and the late Thomas Reed. He was a resident of Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan. He was a proud Air Force veteran of the United States Army where he was ranked as a sergeant. Franklyn graduated from Wayne State University with a bachelors degree, where he was the captain of the tennis team. He also was an accountant who worked in the metals, and radiator manufacturing industry. Franklyn is survived by his loving mother Betty Reed, siblings Thomas jr. (Barbara) Reed, Penelope "Penny" (Dennis) Parent and his daughter Sarah Nicole Reed VanDenHeede. He will be missed by many. Memorial Service pending at this time.
