Its been a long time since Al was my ski coach at Cheboygan high school in Cheboygan county Mich 1961-1965, and at state competitions and I still remember the drive he instilled in each of us to be our best in competition. He carried our entire ski team on his back, shuttling us to practices and races in his own station wagon because the school district was too cheap and broke to support our team, and he loaned us his extra skis for downhill races to challenge us to be our best. Phyllis supported him in his efforts, she has always been kind to each of us.
He is missed Phyllis, as are you and your children. I am late to this party, but I will never forget him nor Phyllis, and their children. Ski on Al and Phyllis.
