Obituary of Pauline E. Olson

Pauline E. "Betty" (Scott) Olson, 87, of Royal Oak, died Saturday, Apr. 20, 2019. Betty was born in Detroit MI, and spent her formative years in Traverse City MI before raising her family in Royal Oak MI. Her parents were Frank and Florence Scott of Cedar MI. Betty was a proud nurse and an eager lifelong learner - her commitment to education was felt by all who knew her. Betty was the loving wife of the late Richard Olson; dear mother of Karen (John) Brandt, Barbara (Randy) Miller and Richard Jr.; proud grandmother of Erin Brandt, Megan (Nick) Hammer, Matthew and Michael Miller; great-grandmother to Kyler and Lucy Hammer, dear sister of the late Peggy (Dana) Kline Fraser, Bill (Shirley), Scott, Marian (Jim) Lannin, Charlie (Barb) Scott, and Kathie Scott; lifelong friend and sister-in-law to Roxie Olson. A memorial service will be held in Betty's honor on June 24th at 10:00 am at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI.
