Obituary of Robert Don DeKun

Robert Don DeKun, age 74 passed away Tuesday March 5, 2019 in Livonia with his family at his side. He was born May 15, 1944 in Detroit to John and Jean (Piotrowski) DeKun. He has lived in Clawson since 1992, and formerly in Plymouth. Robert worked at Ford Motor Company, Livonia Transmission Plant as a Floor Inspector from the age of 18 until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, cars, going to the movies, and animals-especially dogs. Robert is survived by his brother, Gary (Gail) DeKun; daughters, Barbara (Richie) Collins, Suzanne (Michael) DeKun; grandchildren, Haley Collins and Nicholas Collins. He is proceeded in death by his parents, John and Jean (Piotrowski) DeKun; brother, John DeKun II, and his beloved dogs Princess and Duke. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at 2:00 p.m., 31111 Wentworth St, Livonia (734) 664-6737.
