Obituary of Phyllis Ann Foresman

Phyllis Ann Foresman, age 87, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2019. She was born in Grand Rapids to Alice (Holleman) and Cornelius Van Oss on February 27, 1932. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Bruce Foresman and sister Maxine (Van Oss) Farrugia. Phyllis and Bruce spent 42 years together in Benton Harbor, Livonia and Farmington Hills. She also spent several years in Birmingham. Phyllis was a celebrated knitter, instructor, community builder, and Bingo caller. She was very much involved with her family and was regularly seen on the soccer and field hockey pitches cheering on her grandkids. She is survived by her two children Roxanne Jones (David) of Easley, SC, and Michael Bruce Foresman (Maureen) of Troy, MI. Phyllis also has four grandchildren Elizabeth Anne Wiltsie (West Hollywood, CA); Lara Ann Compton (Tim) of Chicago, IL; Camden Michael Jones (Kourtney) and Rebecca Danielle Jones (Stephen) both of Greenville, SC; and two great-grandchildren Nila Sydney and Bondi Marshall Compton of Chicago, IL. She will be interred with her husband at Crystal Springs Cemetery in Benton Harbor. A memorial service is planned.
