Obituary of Anthony Hurd

Anthony Hurd was born on November 24, 1956 in Detroit Michigan on the Eastside. He was the youngest of five. Henry Leonard Hurd, Jacqueline Williams, Sandra Jones, and Cynthia Webb. Tony also precedes in death his mother, Elizabeth Judkins-Hurd. He graduated from Finney High School in 1975. He was a man of many talents basketball, baseball he was intrigued the most by bowling. He met his beloved wife Latonya Lazette Mack-Hurd, in 1986. Anthony and Latonya got married on Latonyas 50th Birthday March 25, 2018. God called him home at 8:40pm on Monday, August 5, 2019, at home in the presence of his Family. Anthony leaves behind 6 children Anthony Denard Mack, Mercedes Lazette Mack, TAira Latrice Hurd, Latonya Antoinette Mack, Lashanda Marie Mack and Antonio Fernandez Mack. He also has 13 Grand Children Jamontae, Tyteana, Janiyah, Jamonee, Jayla, Braylon, Jamaree, Ahmad, Kamren, Atassi, Zniyah, Noah and Ahmani. He had 9 nieces and nephews that he loved dearly and helped raise. Taneice Collins, Kevin Williams, Denise Assata, Walo Romondos, Emanuel Romondos Sr., Keyle Romondos, Darnell Kitts, Martez Hurd and his nephew that preceded him in death, Leonard "Pluck" Hurd. Anthony leaves behind and will be truly missed by a host of family and friends. Words from Children and Grandchildren: Montae- Hey grandad I miss and love you. I wish you was here with me. And now since you left, Ive been the man of the house and I know you would be proud of me. And I wish u didnt pass away but its alright because youre in a better place. And even though you passed away I still will pray for you. And I remember the good times when grandma didnt want me to get candy u still tried to sneak and get me some anyway. Also, when that time u gave me your phone when I was sad. Then that time when u would cheer me up when I got in trouble. Also, that time when I got in trouble and I had to stand in the corner u would argue with grandma to get me out the corner. And all I want to say is thank u for raising me and loving me and being there for me. Janiyah- Hey grandad I miss you and I just want you to know that since you have left Ive been a little sad because you have passed away because I wasnt expecting it to happen right when I came to see you but it is cool because you are in a better place where all of your problems are solved. You will always be in my heart and in my head, I will keep you in thought you will never be forgotten by anyone. And one day when Im up there Ill be so happy to know that you have been there for me and I wish that you were still here, and I would tell you that I love you. I will always know that I should thank the man who has loved me been there for me and raised me a long but little while. Granddad I love you Kamren and Braylon- We will miss everything about you Granddad. My mommy will make sure to keep us reminded of you. Our time together was memorable, and God took you way too fast, But the most precious thing to me was you being there for my first breath and me being there for your last. Latonya Hurd- What is real love? I used to ask myself that question before I met my soulmate. There was never anything too big for my Tony, when it came to his Tonya. The strongest, yet gentlest man I will ever know. I now understand the true meaning of unconditional love. Thank you so much for your love, strength, dignity, loyalty, commitment, and honor. I will never forget our 34 years together. Rest in Peace my Husband. I wont be able to talk to you every day, but I know that you will watch over me every day and continue to protect the family. Thank you for molding me into being strong and independent as you. I love you Daddy, Rest peacefully. Latonya Mack- Daddy, I'll never forget the things you done for us and other people growing up. You taught me independence but most importantly you taught me what a real man brings to the table. I told you in your last days I'm going to get a RV one day because I know you always want that, and I promise you I'll get it one day. I'll remind the boys of you every day! I'll be thinking of you and I miss you every day.
