Obituary of Sean C. Genewick
Sean Genewick was born on July 14, 2003, and chose to leave on November 27, 2019. Sean was a combination of very serious and very fun-loving. He had a great sense of humor and loved teasing his father and brother, playing games with brother Caleb, and visiting with his cousins; his smile would bring out everyone elses smiles. Vacations in Mexico with family and friends were a highlight of each year. He was incredibly athletic, enjoying mountain-biking with dad, brother and friends, running, trampolining, striving to be his best at whatever he tried. He even thought he was better at FortNite than his brother. He equally enjoyed getting into deep conversations about things important to him, and he would pursue an idea to understand all he could, drawing in adults as well as friends. He was very comfortable asking difficult or challenging questions when he was involved in a conversation, and he wanted to explore the answers as fully as he could. He would be totally focused and super organized when he was doing complicated projects and took pleasure in seeing things completed. Sean applied this drive to his schoolwork, doing very well in his classes. He clearly enjoyed the challenge of learning about new subjects and wanted to master them. He set very high standards for himself.
Sean was a loving son and brother, showing kindness and affection and interest in how his mother and father and brother were thinking and feeling; this kindness was also a part of his relationship with his friends and aunts, uncles and cousins and grandmother. He showed how much he cared, with his loving actions and kind words. In the words of Seans younger brother Caleb "He cared for me when I was sick and played with me when I was up. He cried for me when I was in the hospital and he kissed me on the forehead and I loved him and he loved me. He was my best bud to hang out with and he was loving, caring and kind. Every tear is for Sean and its okay." Despite Seans struggles in his life, Sean knew he was surrounded by loving and supportive family and friends. He will be held forever in the hearts of those who loved him and will be remembered for his kindness and caring.
Sean is survived by his Father Frank Genewick and partner Amy Terry, Mother Leslie (Patterson) Genewick, Brother Caleb, Aunt Teresa (Patterson)Bauer, Uncle Christopher Scott Patterson, Cousins Emma and Piper Patterson, Aunt Karen (Genewick) Hydock, Uncle Jim Hydock, Cousins Corey, Nathan and Kyle Hydock, Uncle Steve Genewick, Aunt Tiffany (Boquard) Genewick, Cousins Paige and Luke Genewick, Grandmother Judy (Putnam) Genewick, Godsister Coby LaPointe and Godbrother Corey LaPointe, and countless extended family and friends.
