Obituary of John Pawlowski
With a heavy heart, we are sad to announce that our “Uncle John”, John Pawlowski, has peacefully passed away at the age of 89 on September 1st, 2021. John passed away at home in the loving presence of his sister and extended family. While John will be missed beyond measures, we will forever cherish the time God granted us with him. Despite how hard life was, John always had a way of reminding us that each day brought a new blessing. No matter if you get the short end of the stick, it is always a precious privilege to be alive. John’s laughter and the twinkle that formed in his eye while talking about his life adventures emphasized that happiness is not about who you are or what you have; it’s about what you think and how you perceive the world. Our family would like to continue on the path of John’s positive spirit and instead of mourning, we are choosing to celebrate a life well-lived.
He is survived by sister Jacqueline and nieces Andrea (Gevan), Leah (Dan), Anna (Keith) and Stacy (Reid) along with many Great Nieces/Nephew and Great Great Niece/Nephews.
We would like to thank Hospice of Michigan for all their help in making John’s passing a comfortable one and a special thanks to Nick Cavallaro for being John’s “computer angel” and keeping that old laptop alive. Uncle John played the Hill Climber game just about every day for years and was VERY PROUD of his coin points of 1,125,186,165 (that’s one BILLION).
A memorial service will be held in celebration of John’s life on September 25, 2021 at 10am. Please join us at St. Pricilla Catholic Church, 19120 Purlingbrook Street, Livonia MI 48152. Instead of flowers, please consider donating to the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation (UPC.org).
