I cherish the memories Bob and I had of our time in the military together. We enlisted is the same month and year (October 1968) and were discharged in the same month and year (October 1972). Although he was in the Navy and I was in the Airforce, we got together when we could, especially if we happened to be in relatively the same area in our duty assignments. When we were able to get together during our post-military lives we enjoyed talking about out times in the service and catching up on what we were currently doing. He will be greatly missed.

Having known Bob throughout my life, serving with him in the military at the same time, though in different branches of the service, and just bumming around with him as cousins at different times of our lives, I came to respect him as a God-fearing man with ethics and integrity. He maintained his love of the Lord even as he battled his health issues. So to that end I pray: Father in heaven, You give and You take away, but in all things, Your name is blessed. In this time of sorrow, we grieve, but not without hope, for in Your compassion You sent Your Son to overcome death and the grave. Comfort us with that truth. Lead us to find peace in your mercy. Fill us with the hope of life everlasting that Bob is experiencing now. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. All our thoughts and love are with you cuz. We will meet again.
