I taught with Pat for about 7 years at SCSU- we had a lot of fun during that time as she was BLE to be the Head of the women’s HPE Dpertment. We keep in touch even though I moved to RIC . I know she loved that cottage and am pleased that her family will be able to enjoy it!. RIP Pat- you had along life and enjoyed it!

I have known Pat since fall of 1961 when I joined the synchronized swimming group at the University of Michigan and she was the brand new advisor/coach. Little did I realize the influence she would have on my life. We kept in touch for 60 years and I enjoyed lots of idyllic days (and sometimes weeks) at her cottage in Parry Sound – what a treat that was. It is good to know that others in Pat’s family will enjoy that lovely spot for years to come.
Pat was the consummate Michigan fan and would have loved to see Michigan defeat Ohio State and now earn the title of Big Ten Champion! GO BLUE!

My deepest sympathies and condolences to her extended family and friends who, no doubt, are having a difficult time during this holiday season.
Pat was a dear friend for close to 60 years beginning in Ann Arbor in the mid-60s. I'll never forget her face. Her inviting smile. Her warmth. Her humor. Her incredible generosity. And the many years after I moved to Massachusetts and then Florida, she was kind enough to invite me (and my mother to join me in later years), to her wonderful cottage in Parry Sound.
She touched so many lives, so I shall smile for her and her eternal peace. And from above, I'm sure SHE SMILED and wildly yelled GO BLUE last week when the Wolverines beat the Buckeyes!
Sending blessings to all who knew and loved her.
With sincerest regards,
Lynn Miller

Pat was my cousin. I remember her when I was a child going to her parents house during the holidays. She was always so very nice to me. Being 17 years older than me I saw her as a very independent woman. She would always talk about her skiing excursions. Unfortunately when my father passed away at age 52, me being 11 we didn’t keep in touch. May she Rest In Peace. Pat Gaskey Smith.
