Kerry Sue Crosby

Age 60, passed away in her home on December 6th, 2021. She was born on September 8th, 1961 to Henry and Dora (Cash) Albaugh. She grew up surrounded by her large family – 3 siblings, and a myriad of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Kerry was influenced by her family to be a loving and caring woman, and she incorporated that into her motherhood, her proudest achievement. She graduated from Hillsdale High School in 1979 with honors. A talented violist, she was invited to play with the Hillsdale College Orchestra in her senior year. Kerry went on to pursue a nursing degree from the University of Michigan, and worked as a nurses aide for much of her career. She married her husband Roger in 1986, with whom she raised her three kids. They shared a marriage lasting 24 years, and remained close friends.

Family, nature, art, and music were the greatest loves of Kerry’s life – her time was spent engaging with and appreciating each. She had an ability to bring warmth and laughter to any room she entered with a kind word, a quick quip, or an impromptu song. Kerry held deep passion for all that she did, and she shared that passion with those around her. She is survived by her beloved children, Karly, Mitchell, and Celeste; her brother Kevin; her sisters Kathy and Laurie; and a large extended family of nephews and cousins. Moreover, she is remembered by the people whose lives she touched, which was everyone who met her. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering that will take place in the Spring.
