When I met Joe for the first time I knew he had a great big heart. The love he showed Sandy was huge. Every time I had the joy of visiting him he gave me a big hug then asked me what I wanted for dinner. It was always delicious too. Joe was a kind and caring man to all and I’m glad I was a recipient of that love. Joe I pray you Rest In Peace. My love to you and to your family who love you dearly. Juanita

Joe was a dear neighbor, he was the first person we met in the neighborhood, we met him the day that we put in an offer on the house next door to him. He was always available if we had a question about home repairs or maintenance. We could always count on him.
We loved him. He will be missed!!

Joe was such a kind neighbor. We got to know him over the years as he walked Stella around the block. I remember him sharing gardening tips with my parents and reminiscing about Italy. May wonderful memories bring the family peace. Patty Colone - Ratajack

Sandy...
I met Joe Zuccato when he and Sandy purchased new furniture from me at Ethan Allen. What followed that purchase was a wonderful friendship that has lasted more than 20 years. Joe loved his life and all the people in it. Sandy, the children, grandchildren, and all the friends and neighbors were all part of what Joe loved. He was so gracious and kind to everyone. The last time I saw Joe he expressed to me his appreciation for Sandy and the love they shared. He elaborated by telling me how Sandy showed her love for him with her kindness on a daily basis. The last thing Joe said to me was, "I'm a lucky man." My heart goes out to all who mourn his passing. As Joe said he was a "lucky Man", I find it comforting that we all feel his absence but are blessed to have known and been a part of the life of the man who really lived to make the world a better place. Joe felt that he was a "lucky man" we are all lucky to have been a part of his time here on earth.
Rest In Peace, Joe. Love Sandy

I got to know Joe through the neighborhood watch when he walked up our driveway and asked my husband Jerry to help him get it started. Between the two of them they got it done. Joe would walk over to our house and sometimes drive for a visit. Joe ,my husband and I would sit at our kitchen table and he would tell us stories about his life growing up in Italy. It was so interesting and I enjoyed every conversation.
Joe had a garden in his yard and he would always bring us tomatoes. It was a real treat. I have never seen such huge tomatoes. He called the tomatoes the heart of the bull. Now when I see a big tomatoes I always think of Joe.
Joe was a kind and thoughtful man and I will never forget him. His presence in my life and our neighborhood will be greatly missed.
Rest is peace Joe!
Your neighbor and friend

Joe was a Tile specialist, a teacher, a leader and a good friend. One day Joe walked to my house and said "we need a neighborhood watch program in our subdivision and I need you to help me" So I along with another man, helped Joe get it started. We walked door to door and had seminars to get it going.
I really enjoyed all of his life experiences and stories. My biggest thrill was to have Joe come over and make contact with some possible relatives in Italy. Because I could not speak Italian, I was at a loss. Joe made the calls and I was able to establish a way to communicate with all of them. Later the following year, my brother and his wife joined my wife and me and we fulfilled our long awaited dream. The four of us went to Italy. We went on a tour, then met friends and relatives and went through my grandfathers home in a small village south of Rome. We looked at my grandfathers pictures and wandered what it would be like to visit his home now. And now because of Joe, he made this all possible. Thank you Joe. This would not have been possible without your help. You will be missed.

I met joe 20 years ago, when he did some tile work for me at my business. Joe and I shared an Italian heritage. I enjoyed listening to all his stories of life growing up in Italy. His stories were always interesting. Over the years joe and I formed a close friendship. He was an expert tile man and every project he did or over saw for me was impressive.
He always took the time to find the right tile, at the right price and he made sure it was installed in the best way. Joe would visit me at work and I always enjoyed our conversations. He really brightened up my day. My life was richer and had more meaning from knowing Joe. He will be extremely missed. Joe Maiorana
